Why do I need an Educational Consultant?
Families working with our educational consultants can expect a professional engagement where discussions focus on the student’s strengths and challenges, interests and talents, needs and educational objectives. Our consultants will recommend options, and help families weigh alternatives of cost, location, curriculum activities and institutional atmosphere. Our consultants will advise families about admissions processes and share information based upon recent personal visits and experience. With our consultants, the student has the opportunity to explore a wider variety of options and discuss possibilities in a meaningful manner. Since we are not tied to any specific school or college, our educational consultants are not burdened with unrelated duties and are therefore available at the family’s convenience – not just during school hours.
Gaining acceptance into an American college requires consideration of more than simple test scores. Good grades in school and high scores on standardized exams .i.e. the SAT, do not guarantee acceptance. Admissions officers carefully review the entire student portfolio. They read the essays and the applications to learn something more about the applicant. Writing an application that stands out greatly increases the chances of getting admitted.
Each school can only accept an increasingly smaller percentage of its applicants year-to-year based on demographic shifts and therefore a skyrocketing number of applications are submitted. You are not only competing against American students, but with international students as well. Therefore, it is important to present an application that stands out from all the rest.
